Powdered Air: Hospital Visit

I sit in a glasshouse car watching
crows squat in the wind over the hospital
buildings with bricked up eyes
tumble out of line
merge with knot weed
and hungry asphalt grey
lipped with oil
ringing with years of fanbelts and tyre
gutters creaking in the sunshine.
